HangglideOZ Sydney
If you are visiting the Sydney area and you are looking for something to provide some excitement or maybe a whole new experience check out HangglideOZ in Sydney. They have excellent well-structured professional instruction for beginner hanggliders. Safety is taken seriously and all equipment is subjected regularly to tough checks. Also before you even take off your instructor will run through important safety procedures with you.

People of just about any age are welcome on the course, in fact HangglideOZ are responsible for the Guinness book of World Records holder for the oldest tandem passenger Veronica Adams, who was ninety four years young when she took her first flight.

Your experience can be in one of two locations, depending on winds and weather conditions. Bald Hill, Stanwell Park, which is known for its great coastline, will provide you with wonderful views of the sea and local landscape. Ball Hill is situated just one hour from Sydney. The second location, just a short distance further south from Bald Hill, is Hill 60 in Pt Kembla, Illawara. Hill 60 will give you unforgettable views of the sea and sandy beaches.

It is highly advisable to make your reservation in advance. Each day weather conditions are checked and your instructors will arrange a time to meet with you. If necessary they can help organise transportation for you, so please do not hesitate to speak with them about this.

Prices
For a Voucher flight (which includes photos) or a standard Weekend flight the cost is 195 AUD
If you are on a budget it is cheaper to go during the week at a cost of 180 for a standard flight that does not include photos.
Extras include a video for 50 AUD and a video and photos for 60 AUD. (note that there is there is also a 5 AUD charge for postage on these extras)
If you want to take a full training course, leading to your pilot's license, the cost is 1,850 AUD.
